Name: Rose Schlicting

Age: 24


The current Constrictor is the daughter of the original. Late in his career, he grew disillusioned with his life of crime. Repeated defeats at the hands of various superheroes and the toll of super powered combat made Frank re-examine his life. It was during this period that fate allowed him to work alongside several heroes during a terrorist attack. Finding he enjoyed the respect of people more than he did the fear he previously inspired, Frank devoted the remaining years of his career helping the people he had once preyed upon. He won permission to retire from his organized crime family and began working as a free lancer hero and troubleshooter for people who could afford his services, or those in need of extra help but were below the radar of major heroes.

Finally, injuries and illness forced him to retire. He was initially dismayed when his only daughter Rose announced she wanted to continue his work, and improve the reputation of the Constrictor persona. Frank was initially reluctant, saying it was too dangerous for her. He pointed to his own long list of injuries as proof. Rose would not be deterred, having long studied and trained to replace her father. Promising to be careful, and to upgrade the Constrictor battle suit’s defensive capabilities she finally got her father to agree.

Now wearing an upgraded suit, Rose has begun to use her training to establish herself as a top level operative and freelancer. Her training, financed by her father’s career in organized crime is on par with that of some government covert operatives. Additionally, her ties to organized crime have allowed her to perfect certain skills outside the usual purview of most heroines. Those same ties have caused her to be viewed with some suspicion by certain governmental and law enforcement agencies. The fact that she is very reluctant to take assignments against certain crime families has only reinforced this suspicion.

Rose is trained in infiltration, espionage, stealth, and martial arts. Additionally, she speaks several foreign languages and is skilled at the art of disguise. She has enjoyed competing in martial arts tournaments, including Asian blood sport competions.

The new Constrictor has been building a reputation as a skilled and professional mercenary, troubleshooter, bounty hunter, and covert operative. She is careful about what assignments she takes, avoiding working for known criminals and trying to stay within the boundaries of the law, for the most part. One exception to this is the occasional work she does for certain Mafia crime families. Even then, she avoids breaking major laws or bloodshed. She is rumored to have been instrumental in preventing several potentially bloody mob wars thru these activities.

Physical description:

She has short cut auburn hair and green eyes. While in her battle suit, she wears a long blonde wig and yellow snake eye contacts. She is very toned and muscular, but not bulky like a female bodybuilder.  Her height is 5' 6", and weighs 140 pounds.

Rose was born with a severe hearing impairment. Her father paid for advanced, but illegal bionic hearing implants for his daughter. Without the suit, these allow her hearing slightly greater than maximum human norm. Computer controlled balance inputs allow for nearly flawless agility and coordination.

It is believed that her abilities arise solely from the high-tech battle suit she wears. The actual truth is a bit more complicated.

The Constrictor battle suit is actually the third model. It boasted several new abilities and improved capabilities over its two preceding models.

Main armament:
Two cybernetic wrist coils. These are made of gold covered adamantium. These coils can be used as whips, bludgeons, snares, or restraints. Energy packs in the suit allow the coils to be electrified with up to 40000 volts of high frequency electricity. The suit can deliver three shocks at maximum voltage before needing to recharge.

Secondary capabilities:
The suit is made of advanced materials including laminated composites and a duralloy undermesh. These materials provide good protection against energy weapons, excellent protection against physical attacks and electrical attacks. With additional face mask and respirator, the suit is rated as a class IV hazmat and chemical protective garment.

Built into the cowl are audio boosters that work in conjunction with her bionic hearing implants. Wearing the suit, her hearing is boosted several orders of magnitude, allowing hearing beyond the range of canines. Automatic control circuits can cut out excessive noise levels, allowing her some protection against sonic attacks that target the inner ear.

Communication gear built into the cowl allowed for radio communication using earpieces and sub vocal microphone.

Goggles allow for thermo graphic, low light, and flash compensation.

The entire surface of the suit is covered with controllable molecular hooks. These allow her to cling to surfaces to anchor herself when using the wrist coils or to spider-climb. They can also be reversed, to make the suit slipperier than Teflon. This ability is often used with crawling thru tight spaces or to avoid grappling attacks.

The suit’s molecular coating can also serve as rudimentary camouflage. It can shift color to approximate the color of her background. This feature cannot duplicate complex or precise shapes and patterns, only general or non-distinct shapes, colors, and patterns. Additionally, using this feature is physically uncomfortable to the wearer, and as such is used reluctantly by Rose.

Finally, the suit features an independent musculature augmentation system. Special fibers and micro servos reinforce key joints and major muscle groups, amplifying the strength of major muscle groups by just over 30%.

What is not known or suspected is that Rose has undergone secret genetic and physical augmentation for the following effects.

Physical abilities:
Her musculature has been enhanced, allowing her to lift a maximum of 500 pounds at all times. This strength level is increased when her special gland [see below] is turned on to a maximum of 750 pounds. It is further increased when wearing the suit by an additional 30%, for and overall maximum of approximately 1000 pounds at peak performance.

She has had an artificial gland implanted. The gland is located behind the liver, towards the centerline of the body. This organ is consciously switched on or off as needed. It raises her strength, endurance, and reaction time by approximately 50% above their normal maximums.

Advanced articulation therapy has reinforced and expanded the range of her joints, allowing her to contort and twist with a much greater range of motion than is normally possible.

Her body heals at approximately 1.5 times the normal rate. She cannot regenerate or regrow lost limbs.

Additional scent receptors in her nose, back of throat, and tongue have increased her sense of smell. Her sense of smell is on par with a Bloodhound. She has shown increased sensitivity to chemical irritants and pheromones.

Side Effects … the treatments she has undergone have resulted in the following effects:
She is completely hairless below the neck.

She periodically [every 4 to 5 months] goes thru a period of dermal renewal. Her skin will darken slightly, like a dark tan, and then appear dry. Afterwards, she will shed her entire upper layer of skin. The new skin is especially sensitive to UV light for a week. Additionally, her hair will fall out. It will regrow at twice the normal rate. During this renewal, all old scars, tattoos, and blemishes will be wiped out. Additionally, her fingerprints will be different than before.

She must eat approximately two times the normal amount of food for optimal health and performance. The effects of starvation strike her in half the time, and twice the severity of a normal human.

She is susceptible to cold temperature. This can range from discomfort to actual damage. For practical purposes, her body responds to temperature as if it were 15 degrees Fahrenheit colder than it actually is.

She has food allergies to shellfish, bananas, and turnips.

She cannot remember any dreams.

She must take a monthly dose of what she has been told is a metabolic stabilizer. The small green vials of liquid must be taken every 30 days. Failure to do so causes ever-growing discomfort leading to weakness, loss of abilities, sickness, and finally death. She usually carries extra vials, and will have some stashed at secure and random locations. The exact nature of this “metabolic stabilizer” is unknown to her, and she seems strangely unconcerned about finding out more about it.
